An economic mission organized by the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice in cooperation with NRW.Global Business and the TIGGES law firm took place on September 9-10, 2024. The mission was aimed at strengthening cooperation between Polish and German companies in the renewable energy sources (RES) and IT sectors. The event took place in Düsseldorf, the capital of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is one of Germany's key economic centers.

One of the speakers at the mission was Artur Pollak, PhD, Eng, CEO of APA Group, who gave a lecture entitled. “From Data to Decisions.” In his speech, Dr. Pollak focused on the application of modern digital transformation tools in industrial automation, enterprise infrastructure management and energy efficiency. He discussed how data collected in real time can support strategic decision-making, optimizing production and energy processes in enterprises.

The economic mission was also an opportunity to establish new trade and business contacts and exchange experiences among participants. The program included meetings with representatives of NRW.Global Business, as well as a study visit to KENO GmbH - a leading company in the renewable energy sector.
Another highlight of the event was the official opening of the representative office of the Düsseldorf Regional Chamber of Commerce, where Dr. Dominik Wagner, senior partner of the TIGGES law firm, was appointed GIS representative.
The economic mission was attended by about 50 participants, including representatives of both Polish and German companies and institutions. From the Polish side, it was represented, among others, by Tomasz Zjawiony and Marlena Miąsko, from the Board of Directors of the GIS, Artur Pollak, PhD, President of the Board of Directors of APA Group, Marcin Tyslik, PhD, Honorary Consul of Germany, Kamil Bak, President of Fonseka IT Sp. z o.o., Artur Sarosiek, Managing Director of Energy Solution, Robert Galara, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Galmet sp. z o.o., and Dariusz Siudmak, Export Sales Director at Galmet sp. z o.o.. On the German side, participants included Paul Frederik Höller of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as representatives of NRW.Global Business and German companies operating in the RES and IT sectors.
